Nicci Lee Simmons Intentionally, I first listened to this piece without reading the description from the artist. I wanted to come to my own assessment of how it made me feel without any expectations. 27 minutes of enjoying one moment. A moment filled with a wide array of emotion. After reading the artists inspiration to create such a musical masterpiece, the journey I experienced in the moment so brilliantly captured in 27 extraordinary minutes awakened all senses. A full body sensation. Moving to say the least.

about

Concerto for Piano and Lots of Fingers
E Minor (chromatic)

Movement One: Tumult

Movement Two: Resignation

Movement Three: Release

Movement Four: Continuance

An examination of the randomness of life through spontaneous composition. Each of the first 3 Movements represents a life whose moment has passed: the first, a tumultuous life brought to a hard end; the second a life taken with forewarning and great resistance; the third, a life holding on long enough to set its demons free. The fourth Movement then represents the turmoil and unpredictability experienced by the survivors in the face of such unrelenting moments as well the drive to press on.
