about

“The Endless Celebration” is the party that never stops.
All are invited: the level of enjoyment we experience is
the amount we bring, while the ability to share it remains
our own. This is a party song, not dance music necssarily,
but still very danceable to the committed. Defying
conventional labels, I would call this Soundscape or
Epic Electric, for it is a musical adventure. It is a single
song which exists in three parts: Part I is called “Celebrate”
and was composed in 2015 as a response to a DJ that just
couldn’t cut it at one of those kind of parties. I envisioned
a song that would meld into other songs as if by DJ
without all that annoying record-scratching. Part II is
“Summa cum Louder,” which is a variation of “Celebrate” with
electric guitar and a tougher grind. “Endlessly” is Part III
and it is truly Epic in proportion. ”Endlessly” riffs off of
“Celebrate,” completely ignoring “Summa cum Louder” as if
annoyed at its rocky pretensions, with strings replacing
its guitarishness. The entire piece is an hour long, and
will take you on a musical journey.

To its theme, at first blush an Endless Celebration holds
appeal, as do many good things touted as endless. Of
course the reality is that eternity in any regard must
necessarily lead to the hell of tedium. The only way for
something endless to be appreciable would be for it to
become ever more stimulating over time. Such stimulation
would increase in intensity to stave ennui. After a few million
years such escalating intesity would become unsustainable
and eternity would suck like a TV series after its 12th
season. “Celebrate” begins friendly enough, but something
happens by “Summa cum Louder” that ratchets up the
intensity. “Endlessly” really kicks out the jams as it builds
and morphs from motif to motif, fearlessly pushing the
sonic boundaries of the gentle listener, at times almost
classical in its evolving elements.
Epic Electric. Might be a thing...
